These 3 components build our youth at MUMC:

Spiritual Growth:

  • Assist younger ones in Children's Church 1st & 3rd Sundays during the school year; every week during the summer
  • Sunday School from 10:40-11:30am during the school year
  • Wednesday night youth group 6:30-7:30pm
  • Vacation Bible School, the 3rd week of July for youth through 6th grade
  • Confirmation:  12 week course to learn about the Methodist faith, held every other year,  for any 5th - 8th grader who is ready

Building Relationships:

  • finding peers who have similiar beliefs is hugely important during the middle school years
  • doing fun activities like scavenger hunts, retreats and roller skating help kids get to know one another

Using our God-given Gifts:

  • helping kids learn what they enjoy doing and finding ways to do that serving God is a win-win!
  • at MUMC kids light our candles to begin worship, read the scripture, cut up donuts, set up chairs, interview adults for videos used for a worship theme

Youth Ministry at MUMC is focused on providing opportunities for personal spiritual growth and helping students further discover their identity in Christ through mission work, summer camp, weekend retreats, worship and fun.
